As New York City’s Blockhouses embark on a Northeast tour with the Figgs, they’ve also released a brand new single, the super-catchy “One More Time to Get Home” b/w “Little Sweetie.” Download it here.

Blockhouses guitarist Guy Lyons was the lead guitarist of The Figgs back in the day, and he’ll join them on stage at the following dates to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Figgs’ classic album, Lo Fi at Society High.

With a batch of new tunes — and a stable of old classics — Guy Lyons formed Blockhouses in 2013 with bassist Christopher Peifer. New drummer Jim Balga rounds out the lineup. The guys share a mutual love for bare-bones rock and roll — from the Ramones to the blistering pop-punk of today.

Blockhouses Sign to JetPack Promotions

We’re really excited to announce that JetPack is now working with Guy Lyons — guitarist from the legendary Figgs — and his exciting new band, Blockhouses. Guy exited the Figgs back in the day to complete his college education and start a family but has continued to write songs on his own. He’s been recording demos under wraps for the past year — amazing rock songs reminiscent of early Figgs records. He spent some time getting just the right band together to meet his goal of playing blistering rock with a pop core. But now they’re here — Blockhouses featuring Guy on guitar, Christopher Peifer (the Kowalskis, Heavy Creatures, Another Saturday Night) on bass and Bill Wolf (Wolfhaven, Adam Lakes, Jet Screamers) on drums. Look for shows and recordings coming soon!
